Friday

'Tis Friday...all day long.

I should be doing something else...cleaning or laundry or something, but as usual I am sitting here in the library. Trying to catch up on blogging as there is so little time throughout the week. I did post another poem this morning, an older one though I will admit that I did some rewriting.

I was out late last night at Paigey's house, didn't leave until almost midnight---so hopingher husband wasn't upset with me staying so late. But it felt so good to just sit and talk with her. There was something about last night's chat that just felt ... almost like old times...but better.

I smacked myself in the head yesterday, getting into my own car no less. My thoughts were....uhm.....elsewhere....and so I didn't get my head far enough down and smack. Sigh. It's amazing they let me on the dance team at church given how clumsy I am. So I sat there stunned for a good minute before shaking it off and going about my day...it wasn't until later I found the goose egg [ouch]. And my teeth are now hurting so either I smacked myself harder than I thought or my sinus cold is trying to come back {NOOO!!!!}

I paid my rent today. Late as usual. May they be forgiving that it's not the full amount.

I have nothing planned this weekend out side the usual...library, dance practice, and church...and then the library again...What do you have planned? Anything good? Please share...even if it's as boring as my plans!!!!! :)

Well, thanks for asking! My hubby and I are going to see Lewis Black, the comedian, tomorrow night. It was my birthday present to him. I'm pretty excited because I think it's sold out. It should be a fun night.

Hope you have a great weekend! Michele sent me!

Hi Michele sent me. I am good at not doing stuff I should be too. I think all of us bloggers have that in common.

We're having our weekly family hangout pizza night tonight. Friday night is my favorite time of the week. No cooking or preparing for a busy morning! Tomorrow we're getting together with friends. We are having a babysitter!!! Woohoo! Adult night out!

Plans...well, packing. I'll be blogging about it I'm sure but we are moving into a new house in a better neighborhood. My parents decided to buy this huge house and want me and my hubby and our boys to move in with them...we will have our own kitchen and laundry room so things should run smoothly...we will also have our own dining room and living room as well as three bedrooms and a study...the house is gihugeic (my own word). The house is only about ten mins away from where we are now and we have a whole month to move starting on Monday...so I'll be packing and going to church and packing! :)

Hope your head feels better soon. Keep your head in the galaxy and duck better, my friend! Allergies are getting bad again here too...yucky sinus infections.

Hope your head is ok, Ciera.

I'll be on the computer sending e mails, reading blogs and doing scripts.

Some people are busy this weekend!

My head isn't feeling a whole lot better, so I'm beginning to suspect the sinuses again...especially since my teeth hurt like they did last in the beginning :(

A Situation

Ok. I need to think out loud here for a bit while I wait on email. I have a situation going on that could become tough. A bit of background: About 2 years ago, a single man started coming to my church and showed an interest in me. It lasted about a month and a half, with him giving me mixed signals all the time...since I have been praying for a husband for a while now, at the time, it seemed like my prayers were being answered despite the confusion. It all came down one night about midnight in his parking lot and I haven't talked to him since. He only stayed around for another 7-8 months, and those were very hard months. He lied to me and mislead me, often. Like it was second nature for him. It was made even more traumatic by a discovery of mine on a website shortly after he left the area. In September 2005, I had a blind date that was far from fruitful. My singleness and desire to be married is known to all in church, and so... To the present: Yes, another single man has walked in

My Happy Face

There is something wrong in this world when they steal the magnetic smiley face off the back of your car. Which someone has done. But, I only rolled my eyes heavenward and said, "Whatever!" Must be the neighborhood kids were bored or something.

Types of Friends

The other night, the friend that I watch tv and movies with was sharing something she had learned from a MOPS meeting. About the two different types of friends. Since that discussion, I've realized that there are at least 2 more types of friends and goofball that I am, I thought I'd share it all with you! Don't you feel lucky and special? :) 1. Mushroom Friends : These friends spring up over night and are in our lives just for a season. Kind of like the friends I made in school. The season is way over as I didn't even get Christmas cards from them this year [yes, I sent them cards]. 2. Oak Tree Friends : These friendships develop slowly, starting out small and laying down deep root systems. They last forever no matter how far apart the friends grow; time, distance, oceans and death cannot break the bond of friendship. They are the kind that years after being out of communication, if they heard you were in trouble {death in family, illness, etc...} they would drop stuff
