Uncertain

The Boss made a comment last night about being interested in seeing my blogsites.

*gulp*

Yikes! I think. Because I really kind of complain below about some of my co-workers, that one especially that likes to slack off when the boss isn't looking. But then again...he was picking on her last night for not doing her job. ?????? "Sure, you'll tidy up the office but you won't clean out on the floor" ??????

I didn't give him any of my sites last night. A little worried if I do. Would he use my bitching against me? Not promote me along and all that? I'd hate to have to start censoring myself. This is my place to vent without ticking people I know off, you know? grrrrrrrrr.....I don't know what to do.

Different subject.

I got a bad sunburn last Sunday. the trip to my brother's is like, 3 hours, and my arm was hanging out the car window for all of it. Didn't think nothing of it at the time. It hurt for days but now has moved on to the itching and peeling phase.

The answer is easy, Ciera. Just give the info regarding your poetry, Bob & fiction sites, but keep 'My Secret Place' isolated, and don't put a link to it from the others.

I think Jean Luc is right. You can share one but don't have to share all of 'em. We don't want to give ammo to the... not really enemy but ya know what I mean.

I must concur with your other friends here. Don't share this site with him. I have heard a lot about employers looking at the blog sites of their employees and then using the material that they find their against them. In some cases, I have even heard of people being fired because of the content of their blog. Actually, you may not necessarily want to share any of your blogs with him. Who knows what kind of material may offend a person and change their opinion of you, and then you are judged unfairly. I personally can't imagine that someone would be offended by Superhero Bob, but why would you want to open yourself up to that kind of danger. If I were you, I would consider saying no to your boss, and cite to him what I've said. Perhaps you could say something like, "Nothing personal, but I've heard of some people getting in trouble with their boss because of something on their blog. I'd rather not share my blogs with you simply because I don't want to have an unprofessional conflict with you. It's not that I know I've written something you won't like. It's just that I'd rather be the best employee that I can be for you, and not have to detract from that if we have some disagreement because of something unrelated to work." I bet if you said something like that, he'd probably take it just fine.

Well it's your hobby and in your spare time. If you don't want to share it then you don't need to. And, like the others, I wouldn't. :-)

Weekenders!!!

It's that time again. For Michele's weekend Meet-n-Greet. Some frown, but others gleefully play. Here's a question for all who visit here, whether on your own or from Michele's: Last night during a prayer meeting, I had a memory flash through my mind. More like the shadow of the memory. I was five years old or younger and I was begging my father for a peanut butter cake. I really wanted one, and even though I was interupting the adult conversation and probably being a regular brat...my Dad quit what he was doing to search for a recipe for a peanut butter cake...uhm, I don't think he ever found one so he made me a chocolate one with peanut butter frosting. This is probably the best memory I have of my father. So - what is your favorite childhood memory?????

A Situation

Ok. I need to think out loud here for a bit while I wait on email. I have a situation going on that could become tough. A bit of background: About 2 years ago, a single man started coming to my church and showed an interest in me. It lasted about a month and a half, with him giving me mixed signals all the time...since I have been praying for a husband for a while now, at the time, it seemed like my prayers were being answered despite the confusion. It all came down one night about midnight in his parking lot and I haven't talked to him since. He only stayed around for another 7-8 months, and those were very hard months. He lied to me and mislead me, often. Like it was second nature for him. It was made even more traumatic by a discovery of mine on a website shortly after he left the area. In September 2005, I had a blind date that was far from fruitful. My singleness and desire to be married is known to all in church, and so... To the present: Yes, another single man has walked in...

Shock and Awe

It is a strange thing. How someone can say, "I'm sorry, please forgive me" and still manage to correct you all at once...it is truly amazing to me. I was shocked that this person actually admitted to being wrong, and at the same time, I was ashamed for wanting it. But it got me to thinking. About Repentance and Forgiveness...how once they have happened...there is healing and restoration. I haven't completely researched it yet, but the verses I've peaked at in James make me think I'm not far off. I wonder, just as one person sinning can spoil others...can one person repenting turn others to repentance? Hmm.... Of course, as in any relationship situation...it helps to know the whole story. Why do we do that, I wonder? Close up and not share what is going on, I mean. I know that sometimes, there are things that hurt too deep to share right away. It is frustrating. Thanksgiving looks to be a dismal day so far. I'm not about ready to invite myself to any...
