The redneck way of life

This was taken on Easter Sunday.

It's a picture of my youngest brother .... stapling a torn seam in his pants.

He's 21 and did this right in front of our mother. Mother wanted the picture taken to show a slice of the 'redneck' way of life...but I'm not sure if it is. I think my brother is just odd. I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to just give the jeans up...or give them to Mom to see if she can't mend them? Noooo....let's staple it.

Goofball. :)

That staple won't stay on too long. Besides there are some that rip holes in their jeans as it's the style!

Ciera,
I know you won't mind me asking but could you send out a prayer request for a child. I came across it just a few minutes ago & I must ask those of my bloger buddies to sing in.
Thanks & bless yall

I'll be sure to tell him that, both things.

Paige, deepest prayers for that child. You never have to ask...just give me your prayer requests... :)

Is he also a fellow Pennsytuckian?

lol

Classic move...however very innovative and thus showing intelligence after all...as far as this on and off again friendship goes...this has to be emotionally exhausting you.

MC - he just might

Daydreamer - it is. For her too, but then she's had then entire church blackballing her [for no good reason] so I can understand some of her actions. Guess who they're ignoring now that she's gone??? me.

And all I've done is refuse to give up on a friendship because I know that is what Jesus would do for me.

Instead of staples I use iron-on patches but I do them from the inside so they don't show. Occasionally, if it's in an area I can get to, I'll use my sewing machine to do it.

BTW, I don't think your brother was strange to do that--just pragmatic. He wanted the jeans and a stapler was handy.

Ponderisms

This comes from an email from one of my many sisters. Some are just toooo funny!!! PONDERISMS 1.) I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes. 2.) Gardening Rule: When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. 3.) There are two kinds of pedestrians: the quick and the dead. 6.) Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing. 7.) Too Soon

"I spoke too soon" Well....sort of. Here's a brief rundown of my first 'drop off run' - u know, taking the kids home. I get all the kids on the bus, knowing that one girl needs to go to daycare, I automatically head for the one she went to last year...as I pull up, she says, "I don't go there anymore...I go to the new daycare..." Uh-oh. Now, this little girls a little more mature than the rest, so I believe her. I tried calling the other driver on the handheld radio to see if he was still at the center...no answer....tried calling the boss...no answer...I went back to the Center...no one could see the bus becuase of the ambulance, so no one could come out. So I cart the girl around the entire hour long route.........at the first stop, I sent a message through the mother to the Center....and then there was a bee on the bus!!!! I killed it, superhero that I am. One girl wants to "swing from the chandleirs"...if the bus had them. Oh m...
