My Brother's Question and Answer Segment

As you all know from yesterday's post and comments, my brother slammed me on a few of my survey answers. I've left his questions/comments in black and my answers in blue.

Letter: Q
Now, I wonder why you would like the letter Q. I wonder what Jean-Luc REALLY thinks about that?

Uhm---it's the only Star Trek related letter. :P Any comment Jean-Luc??

Body Part on Opposite sex: smile
Age you wanna lose your Virginity: How old am I now? LOL
Can these two answers really correspond? It sounds to me like you might be lying in one of these.

What???? Sex doesn't start with a smile?

Besides....you should see his smile.

Strawberry or Watermelon: watermelon
What! Watermelon! You...You... TRAITOR!

:P

Kiss or Hug: both
Now, this answer seems to correspond well with both your answers in the above mentioned two questions.

And your point is?

Rap or Punk: rap
You really like rap?

Uhm...I think TobyMac counts as rap and I like a few of his songs. I also like hiphop. Wanna see me dance with the vaccuum?

Ever Smoked: only from my ears
You know, I think I've seen that.

Without a doubt

Ever been beaten up: I had brothers, does that count?
Ever beaten someone up: ditto
Hey, I represent that remark!

Well, like...no duh! Remember the time we were fighting and you punched me in the nose and I just stopped and started to cry saying you had broken the rules?? LOL

Ever Kissed Opposite sex: sort of
Sort of? What does that mean?

Oh for crying out loud. I'm not quite sure that kissing Jason in the back of a moving pickup truck counts as a real kiss. Especially when he just kind of all of a sudden stuck his tongue out and like.....what was I supposed to do with that!! I was, what, 16 and I'm still waiting to be kissed by a real man.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Hot or Cute: cute
Oh wait. Which one of the questions above does that correspond with?

I don't understand the question.

What country do you want to Visit: England
Now, I wonder why you would want to go there?

The Shadow knows.

Shower Daily: Yes
Now, who in their right mind would answer this with a no, even if it were true. You might as well raise your hand and proclaim, "I don't believe in soap, and I stink!"

I dare you to say this to Utenzi's face. Go ahead. I double dare you.

Goal for this year: Survive
God's goals for you are far higher than yours. OK, this isn't supposed to be funny like the other comments. I know that God's plans for you far exceed survival. In fact, I believe that they include victory, success, empowerment in the Spirit, and a furthering of His kingdom grounded in your obedience to His word. Stick with Him and shoot for that. It'll be far more exciting.

I'm lucky if I can see beyond the end of one day right now, but thanks for the encouragement.

Fears: rejection, condemnation, abandonment
"Fear not, for I am with you says the Lord."
"For you are accepted among the Beloved."
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
"For I am with you always, even unto the end of the age."

Thanks. Knowing and believing don't change things overnight.

For those poetically minded, a posted a new poem today here

Ummm. Thanks for the clarification, Ciera. As for your comment on my blog---yeah, you're a kid to me. 15 years is a lot younger! Of course I do realize that the nature of the survey question makes age difference irrelevant. It's more of a did you or didn't you difference. :-)

Frightening concept isn't it?

I've had enough Q as it is!

Aside from that, Ciera, they are great answers...love the 'smile' one!

Jean-Luc: where I find Q...I find U.

And I knew you'd love the smile comment! :)

Nothing in the concept "you did not do it" frightens me, Ciera. Of course you might have meant my advanced age or your lack thereof. ;-)

Naw---I was talking about the flapping tongue my teenage boyfriend apparently didn't know what to do with. {{{ok ok ok, neither did I ....... }}}

It appears that I may have misperpesented myself. I actually do not have a problem with the idea that some people do not shower every single day. So, Utenzi, I'm sorry if I offended you. It was the first part of the comment that I really wanted to communicate. I didn't think anyone would really fess up to it. That's all.

Ciera, if Jason wasn't a real man, was he at the least a real...boy? Or, was he just pretending that part too?
Ciera said…
Cliff: LOL!!!!!!!

There's a difference between a man and a boy. But I know Jason was "real" for his age. But there's still a difference in what I'm talking about and you know it :P

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Jean-Luc and Cierra sitting in a Starship...k-i-s-s-i-n-g! First comes love then comes marriage, then comes a Klingon in a Borg Cube? Heh heh heh...I'm onto you two. ;-D
Jean-Luc Picard said…
Ciera, what do you think MC Pearson is suggesting here?
Ciera said…
MC---I thought that was rather cute :) Made me blush

Jean-Luc: hmmmm......What do U think she's suggesting??? :P
M. C. Pearson said…
Very suggestive suggestion! :D
Jean-Luc Picard said…
Ciera, I believe MC thinks you and I have some sort of association...
Ciera said…
It does seem that way doesn't it?
Jean-Luc Picard said…
All these rumours!

You know what they say don't you, Jean-Luc - that before the captain is done sneezing, they're discussing whether he has the flu down in Ten-Forward.

Shock and Awe

It is a strange thing. How someone can say, "I'm sorry, please forgive me" and still manage to correct you all at once...it is truly amazing to me. I was shocked that this person actually admitted to being wrong, and at the same time, I was ashamed for wanting it. But it got me to thinking. About Repentance and Forgiveness...how once they have happened...there is healing and restoration. I haven't completely researched it yet, but the verses I've peaked at in James make me think I'm not far off. I wonder, just as one person sinning can spoil others...can one person repenting turn others to repentance? Hmm.... Of course, as in any relationship situation...it helps to know the whole story. Why do we do that, I wonder? Close up and not share what is going on, I mean. I know that sometimes, there are things that hurt too deep to share right away. It is frustrating. Thanksgiving looks to be a dismal day so far. I'm not about ready to invite myself to any...

Weekenders!!!

It's that time again. For Michele's weekend Meet-n-Greet. Some frown, but others gleefully play. Here's a question for all who visit here, whether on your own or from Michele's: Last night during a prayer meeting, I had a memory flash through my mind. More like the shadow of the memory. I was five years old or younger and I was begging my father for a peanut butter cake. I really wanted one, and even though I was interupting the adult conversation and probably being a regular brat...my Dad quit what he was doing to search for a recipe for a peanut butter cake...uhm, I don't think he ever found one so he made me a chocolate one with peanut butter frosting. This is probably the best memory I have of my father. So - what is your favorite childhood memory?????
