I Don't Go There Anymore

After almost a year of indecisiveness over what to do about my church situation, I've made a decision and made it official.

I don't go there any more.

I sent my notice of membership withdrawal to the Pastors yesterday. I explained how I felt after 8 years it was time to move on, since he made a comment months ago about what we were doing there if we felt our destiny didn't rest with First Baptist. I've known for years that the end of my destiny didn't reside at FB, that it was just the start. So, what's a girl to do with a comment like that anyway?

I probably won't get a response even though I asked for one.

I feel kind of free. I will probably go to the new church starting down at Mt. Zion Retreat Center. Hope those people will love me more.

Now how in the world could they resist your charm, Ciera? From what you've mentioned in your blog, Ciera, it's well past time for you to join a different congregation. Good luck!

BTW, I have a new address due to the Blogger Beta screwup. It's now Utenzi2 instead of Utenzi. Thanks!
It is YOUR faith journey and it is between YOU and God. You will find your way. Put aside the anger regarding CHURCH...as I am also trying to do. Sometimes the wrong people are in the wrong positions. Jesus taught us:

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Bleassed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

AND:

Blessed are you (Robin), when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

Matthew 5: 3-11

OK, I'm disappointed. Today's Monday, (thus, yesterday was obviosly sunday, the day when most people attend a worship service) and there's no update about the new church. I mean, I thought you said you picked one to try. I want to know what it was like. I bet everyone else does too. Come on, give us the scoop! How'd it go?

BTW, have you ever wondered what a Cliffyboy adventure might be like? You can find out if you visit my blog. There's a couple of them there that I posted recently.
Weird? I would say it was a coincidence...but then again some would say there are no such things as those.

Shock and Awe

It is a strange thing. How someone can say, "I'm sorry, please forgive me" and still manage to correct you all at once...it is truly amazing to me. I was shocked that this person actually admitted to being wrong, and at the same time, I was ashamed for wanting it. But it got me to thinking. About Repentance and Forgiveness...how once they have happened...there is healing and restoration. I haven't completely researched it yet, but the verses I've peaked at in James make me think I'm not far off. I wonder, just as one person sinning can spoil others...can one person repenting turn others to repentance? Hmm.... Of course, as in any relationship situation...it helps to know the whole story. Why do we do that, I wonder? Close up and not share what is going on, I mean. I know that sometimes, there are things that hurt too deep to share right away. It is frustrating. Thanksgiving looks to be a dismal day so far. I'm not about ready to invite myself to any...

My Brother's Question and Answer Segment

As you all know from yesterday's post and comments, my brother slammed me on a few of my survey answers. I've left his questions/comments in black and my answers in blue. Letter: Q Now, I wonder why you would like the letter Q. I wonder what Jean-Luc REALLY thinks about that? Uhm---it's the only Star Trek related letter. :P Any comment Jean-Luc?? Body Part on Opposite sex: smile Age you wanna lose your Virginity: How old am I now? LOL Can these two answers really correspond? It sounds to me like you might be lying in one of these. What???? Sex doesn't start with a smile? Besides....you should see his smile. Strawberry or Watermelon: watermelon What! Watermelon! You...You... TRAITOR! :P Kiss or Hug: both Now, this answer seems to correspond well with both your answers in the above mentioned two questions. And your point is? Rap or Punk: rap You really like rap? Uhm...I think TobyMac counts as rap and I like a few of his songs. I also like hiphop. Wanna see me dance with ...

Ponderisms

This comes from an email from one of my many sisters. Some are just toooo funny!!! PONDERISMS 1.) I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes. 2.) Gardening Rule: When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. 3.) The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement. 4.) Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. 5.) There are two kinds of pedestrians: the quick and the dead. 6.) Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing. 7.) Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. 8.) The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth. 9.) Some people are like Slinkies.
