Winter snow and Wierd Habits

I had more trouble getting out of my parking lot this morning than I did driving on the roads. Hopefully the maintenance man Byron will have the lots cleared of snow by the time I have to go home. And I had to park on the other side of the street from the library instead of right in front, because there was no way I was going to park in unplowed snow ya know. I'd rather walk a few extra feet than have my car stuck!

I was tagged over at
Carl's and since I can't help but do these things:

Here are the rules:

“The first player of this game starts with the topic “five weird habits of yourself,” and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don’t forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says “You are tagged” (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.”

And so, without further ado, here are - -

Five Weird Habits of Mine:

1. I Blog. This might not seem unusual in the grand scheme of things, but believe me - where I live, I am odd for doing this.

2. I like cold pizza, especially for breakfast. I can't stand it rewarmed...blech.

3. Like Carl, I rewatch movies...I watched LOTR:The Fellowship of the Ring 6 times the first week my sister brought the movie home...a little obsessive I know.

4. I won't stomp through puddles or walked through water if I can help it because I can't stand wet feet.

5. I still read the comics every day. MY favorites are: BC, For Better or For Worse, Garfield, Rose is Rose, and Bob the Squirrel.

Okay, those tagged would be:
1.
Superhero Bob
2.
Daydream Believer
3.
Cliff
4.
The Captain
5.
Shelley

And like Carl, I won't be offended if you don't share yours!

I would have tagged
Rob, but he doesn't do them. Party pooper. I would have taged Fluke too - but he's busy in the middle of a party.

Oh, I guess doing these meme things would count as an unusual habit wouldn't it? :)

Okay, okay! I've done my weird habit list.

Yes, very prudent not to try and get Fluke to try the list, he might be busy for a while giving tours. You'd have a long wait to hear back, me thinks :)

Lt. Commander! I quite agree! Especially since the captain has threatened to "have a word" with me for tagging him. I wouldn't want to torque FLuke off too....he'd never show me the zero G room!!!!!

btw - thanks for playing Daydreamer, Superhero Bob, and of course, Oh Captain my Captain!

Report to the Captain's Ready Room for a 'chat' about giving him a tag.

The ready room...for a chat? Ooooh, shaking in my boots...no really, my feet are cold!

Will you forgive me if I bring along some cheese?

I think you've inspired me to do the same on my blog in the days to come. Stay tuned...

Thanks Carmi.

PS: my word verification is "tieer" - is that a word? :-)

Well....nothing saying I can't tag you now Kat!!! :) Sorry, didn't mean to leave you [or anyone else] out!!!

And I've seen some pretty interesting words in word verification!

A Situation

Ok. I need to think out loud here for a bit while I wait on email. I have a situation going on that could become tough. A bit of background: About 2 years ago, a single man started coming to my church and showed an interest in me. It lasted about a month and a half, with him giving me mixed signals all the time...since I have been praying for a husband for a while now, at the time, it seemed like my prayers were being answered despite the confusion. It all came down one night about midnight in his parking lot and I haven't talked to him since. He only stayed around for another 7-8 months, and those were very hard months. He lied to me and mislead me, often. Like it was second nature for him. It was made even more traumatic by a discovery of mine on a website shortly after he left the area. In September 2005, I had a blind date that was far from fruitful. My singleness and desire to be married is known to all in church, and so... To the present: Yes, another single man has walked in

Types of Friends

The other night, the friend that I watch tv and movies with was sharing something she had learned from a MOPS meeting. About the two different types of friends. Since that discussion, I've realized that there are at least 2 more types of friends and goofball that I am, I thought I'd share it all with you! Don't you feel lucky and special? :) 1. Mushroom Friends : These friends spring up over night and are in our lives just for a season. Kind of like the friends I made in school. The season is way over as I didn't even get Christmas cards from them this year [yes, I sent them cards]. 2. Oak Tree Friends : These friendships develop slowly, starting out small and laying down deep root systems. They last forever no matter how far apart the friends grow; time, distance, oceans and death cannot break the bond of friendship. They are the kind that years after being out of communication, if they heard you were in trouble {death in family, illness, etc...} they would drop stuff

My Happy Face

There is something wrong in this world when they steal the magnetic smiley face off the back of your car. Which someone has done. But, I only rolled my eyes heavenward and said, "Whatever!" Must be the neighborhood kids were bored or something.
